Описание

Bozhong 26-6 oilfield

The Bozhong 26-6 oilfield is located in the southern waters of the Bohai Sea , about 170 kilometers from Tianjin , with an average water depth of 22.1 meters. (Phase I) will be put into production Since its discovery in 2022, the cumulative proven geological reserves of oil and gas have exceeded 200 million cubic meters. According to normal recovery rate calculations, the Bozhong 26-6 oilfield can produce more than 30 million cubic meters of crude oil and more than 11 billion cubic meters of natural gas, with considerable social and economic benefits.  The Bozhong 26-6 oilfield is divided into two development projects, Phase I and Phase II.

The reservoir of the Bozhong 26-6 oilfield is located in the Archean buried hill metamorphic rock formation at a depth of more than 4,500 meters . It is a bedrock uplift covered by new sedimentary rocks in the ancient geological history billions of years ago. The buried hill bedrock is mainly composed of high-hardness granite, with an average compressive strength of 137 MPa to 275 MPa, equivalent to 9 times the strength of concrete, and the formation temperature is as high as 178 degrees Celsius.

On March 1, 2023, China National Offshore Oil Corporation announced that China had made another billion-ton discovery in the Bohai Sea, the Bohai 26-6 oilfield. This is the third consecutive year that China's largest crude oil production base has made a billion-ton discovery. On February 25, 2024, CNOOC announced that the new drilling well test capacity of Bozhong 26-6 oilfield reached a new high, with the newly added proven oil and gas reserves exceeding 40 million cubic meters and the cumulative proven reserves exceeding 200 million cubic meters. On April 24, the first phase of the Bohai Oilfield Bozhong 26-6 condensate oil field development project officially started drilling.

As of November, the central platform of the Bozhong 26-6 oilfield phase I development project has completed loading operations and will be shipped to the southern waters of the Bohai Sea to enter the offshore installation and joint commissioning phase, marking the completion of the project’s land construction.

On November 28, CNOOC Tianjin Branch learned that with the topside module and jacket weighing more than 16,000 tons accurately positioned, the central platform of the first phase development project of the Bohai 26-6 oilfield, the world's largest metamorphic oilfield, completed floating installation in the southern waters of the Bohai Sea, and the project construction has made significant progress. On February 7, 2025, China National Offshore Oil Corporation learned that its Bozhong 26-6 oilfield development project (Phase I) had been put into production.

CNOOC researchers conducted scientific research on the deep layers of the Bohai Sea's highly active fault zone, innovatively proposed a theory of deep oil and gas exploration in extensional-strike-slip composite fault zones, independently developed ultra-low frequency all-round seismic exploration technology, conquered deep seismic imaging in complex fault zones, and promoted the expansion of the main battlefield of Bohai Sea exploration from shallow to deep, and from explicit buried hills to implicit buried hills, guiding the discovery of several billion-ton oil fields such as the Bohai 26-6 oil field
